Sometimes, to improve something you have to take things away. I was pondering that one day and sketched out this little evolution of the iPod Shuffle. I wanted to keep the sketch, but didn’t want to keep the post-it. Therefore you must now suffer both my sad little musings, and my poor artistic ability.

I'm Going It Alone

It looks like when the machines come I’m on my own (see my previous post for context). I’ll watch the next movie, but will certainly wait to rent it. Those who are interested in joining my post-apocalyptic third party should contact me immediately so we can begin formulating our survival plans.

Random decision-making notes jotted while watching the movie follow… possible spoilers ahead:

The indians are werewolves… yeah, that’s original.
Dear Twilight movie, The Lost Boys called… they want the 90’s version of their soundtrack back.
Bella seems to prefer Red Vines. This could mark her as a Gilmore Girls fan… This is a plus for me.
“Who are you? What do you want?” Oblique Babylon 5 reference? That would be a plus… research required.
As I think about it, vampires vs. werewolves? Again, can we please come up with something a little more original?
17-year old girl moves to town and figures out a families deep-dark secrect in a matter of weeks (and nobody else seems suspicious in the least). HUGE suspension of disbelief required.
REALLY bad super-human ability FX (fast running up the mountain scene, I’m looking at you). addendum: Just noticed in the credits that VisFX were by ILM… wow, those guys are slipping!
Cedric Diggory and the Bella look like junkies. Like, could you kids just wash your hair and use some concealer to hide the cirlcles under your eyes please?
Boy, this is really your classic “vampirism as allegory for sex” isn’t it?
That werewolf boy sure is pretty isn’t he?

The modern world is divided into two camps. Twighlight fans, and Twighlight haters. I haven’t seen the movie, nor have I read any of the books… therefore I have no opinion either way. When the machines rise against humanity, I’ll have to align with one of these factions for the purposes of mutual protection. Tonight I choose my aliegence… “Death to the machines!”
